[APML] LCD Monitors

I'm getting a lot of eyestrain from processing. I've asked about flat panels
before, but I'd like to ask again. How significant is the 'flicker rate' and
other properties of CRTs to eyestrain, and would an LCD be much gentler w/o
sacrificing picture quality? That being said, I'm seeing 17-18" screens by
well-known manufacturers coming down into the $400 range and would
appreciate any advice.
