	(16 bit grey/48 bit color output)

  (That's over the 8.5x11 inch scan area.)  The transparency illuminator is
restricted to 4x9 down the middle.

Hi Jerry:
Are you sure about that 1422 dpi on 120 film? When we discussed this new
Epson in February (see Archives) I thought someone said that it would
provide the 3200 dpi over the entire 4x9 field. Maybe we are taking dots per
inch too literally, but it seems amazing that they would advertise the
machine as 3200 dpi if its really 3200 dp4inches! Hope someone can clear
this up...
