Re: [APML] Photography From Orbit

Hi All
The NASA night time image of London shows the light pollution from the London orbital motorway, the M25, as a long fine line circling the capital. Interestingly the motorway is most obvious on the image where the lighting is from full cut off anti light pollution fittings. Other sections of the motorway lit with "spray the light everywhere" fittings is hardly noticeable! Does anyone know if there are any other recent images of SE England taken from space so I can locate the best astrophotography site ?

Subject: [APML] Photography From Orbit

Hi All

For Robert Reeves - Robert, you may wish to mention in email communication (if space allows) that whilst your photographer friend Dr Petit was snapping me from orbit on Feb 4th, he was being watched from here as well (in binoculars).

If you have a look at this picture:

I was observing Comet Neat from just above the letter "T" in Thames Estuary, and had noted that the ISS would be flying over during the early evening. Followed it for a few minutes visually.

PS. You may also wish to mention that our thoughts are still very much with those brave souls up there.
