Re: [APML] OT: Southern California Sites

We had sucker holes last month, but the weather at our site in Landers is usually pretty good during the winter:

Subject: [APML] OT: Southern California Sites

I've been skunked the last 2 months in a row going down to the OCA site near Anza due to weather around the new moon.  Even stayed 2 nights in a row last time to up my chances and got snowed on the first night and clouded out the 2nd.  Any suggestions on good so. Calif. sites during the winter months that are likely to have clearer skies?  I like the OCA site from a facility (power, pads, club house etc.) and camaraderie point of view but the weather this last new moon seemed about the worst at that location as anywhere in the area.  I live in the LA area and don't usually want to drive too much further south.

Maybe it's just luck and I'm paying my dues and being tested in my commitment to the hobby <g>.  Any thoughts?
