Herm,

There is so much light pollution here that when it is subtracted off, it
takes some of the fainter parts of the nebula with it. Pushing would not
help, unless is somehow rejects Philadelphia/Atlantic City/NewYorkCity
skyglow  : )

Using 120 format film (but with the backing removed for the vacuum back of
the camera) you get 8 photos per roll.

I like the new camera and guider very much but I am still rigging up a good
way to view through the guiding port for setting up a guidestar. For now, I
remove the guider and use an eyepiece but I am trying to rig up a relay lens
and a flip mirror. The backfocus is too short to just slap in a flip mirror.
But even with the awkwardness of using an eyepiece directly on the guiding
port, it works very well. I used a GEG for some years with a 12" SCT so I am
accustomed to OAGs. But with that system, I was able to use a flip mirror.
