[APML] Chemical waste ??

Quick question, I just set up a home darkroom. How do you get rid of the
chemical waste, we have a septic tank and even if we didnt I dont think I
would even consider putting it down the drain. Over in the UK we had a
company that collected it, they gave you a container, when it was full you
called the toll free number, they collected and swapped out the full
container for an empty one and you were billed accordingly. Does anybody
know of a similar system here in the USA. If it helps I am in North
Carolina.
