That was done with a Nikon FM2 with a 35-70 f/2.8 zoom, set at f/4 and 70mm.
Exposure was probably around 10 minutes or so, on Kodak E100S film.  I tried
to do an anti-vignetting layer mask on it, but there was just not enough
information in the corners to make it to my satisfaction.  The only
post-processing was some slight levels/curves and a light pass with Grain
Surgery.

We were as close to the volcano as the local law allows (you get arrested if
you venture into what they call the "exclusion zone", although the local
geologists took us into that area one evening), which is about 2-1/2 to 3
miles away.
