QSP is a first class operation, I've used them on several occasions in the
past. Unfortunately, I don't think they coat mirrors for amateurs any more.
About a year ago I called them up to get a mirror aluminized and was informed
of their change in policy. But, it doesn't hurt to give them a shout.
I currently use Newport Glass Works. As it turns out, until they get their
own chamber operational, they send the mirrors to QSP to get coated -- at
least that was told to me by the person who takes care of the mirror
coatings. Frankly, I can't recommend NGW even though I do a lot of business
with them. Their customer service is -- shouldn't use four letter words in a
public forum -- atrocious.
I've heard good things about Clausing quality. Many ATM's use their
services. I've also heard from three different people that they took longer
to coat the mirror than they promised.
YMMV.
