Roland:
Some people process Tech Pan in D-19 for 4 minutes (68 degrees) and some 10
minutes. Those that use 10 minutes are usually trying to squeeze every last
drop of image from the film. They are usually shooting very dim objects with
relatively slow optical systems (f7, 8, 9, 10....) or using an H Alpha
filter. Those that use 4, 5, 6, 7 minutes are usually using faster optical
systems (f1.5, 2, 4, 5, up to 6) or brighter objects.

Yes, running tests is the only way to determine what is right for your system.
