Hi Roland,

Perhaps just a minor problem... if you have sealed the film up real good so
it is not exposed to humidity while thawing out.  The cold film will react
to condensation.  If it is sealed back up in a canister, or sealed in a
ziplock bag, make sure the film is back at room before reopening it.  Then
process it fast.  I prepare my developing solutions and have them at proper
temperature before even loading the film into the developing tank.  This
minimizes the open air wait time the film spends between unwraping and
processing.

Just in case you simply put the film cassette in the freezer, place it in a
canister before thawing so it will be exposed to a minimum of air while
thawing.
