Re: [APML] Comet through murky skies

Bert;

     Just returned form four days at Chiefland. What a show Comet I-Z is
putting on, can't wait until the April mornings. I might have something about
your "blue" quandary. Everyone was commenting how blue the comet was
'visually'. Only my 10 & 15min images on RG200S show a blue shell around the
the head, but in no way do my photos capture the blue throughout the comet as
seen visually.

     Unfortunately I was photographing while 10 acres away Tom Clark had his 36"
on Comet I-Z. I was told there was an obvious Ion tail with a star between the
two tails Thursday night. Must have been impressive. BTW for all you AA
subscribers, Tom's 24' dome is complete lacking some final touches. Now he has
to start working on the special mount for his 42".
