Hey Mike,

It sounds like your sky conditions at f/6.3 will limit
you to 60-90 minutes. I've gone for 3 hours at f/10
under similiar conditions

The 201 will work, but you may need some help with it.
FOCUS IS CRITICAL. For reference check out MAPUG.

Do a search on the 201 and find articles by Guido Pasi
and Michael Hart. These are what enabled me to get
mine working and I'm eternally grateful. 

Yes, you should counterbalance the weight of
everything in your imaging train.
