Re: [APML] Polar alignment from the equator? Was : Suitable exposures, etc



Hi Ray:
I know there are  lots of ways of getting good polar alignment, and
fortunately, I don't have the problem, I have a permanent setup on a pier.
The reason Matt was advising Tommy (not me) was that Tommy can't see Polaris
or any of the nearby stars (like Kochab)---he lives near the Equator (see
original message below) and has obstructions I guess, so I'm afraid the
"Kochab clock" is not going to help him.
