Jason, that is very interesting. I have had the same experience with PW
pro, and now am convinced your suggestion to use registar is one to go with.
The warping of the flm is more of a barrel distortion with my schmidt, and I
can never get the whole frame at once in.

Not when you have wide field images with several
hundred thousand stars. If you have even a slight
ripple in your film you will have areas where the
stars do not align. I could NEVER get my Schmidt
camera images to align perfectly with Picture
Window, even when using 40 or so alignment points.
The stars are just too small. I would spend an
hour setting up the points only to find areas that
were out of whack.
Registar nails it every time.
