[APML] Reprocessed NGC6543
As time goes on I think we all realize we get a bit better at image
processing, along with acquiring better toys to do it with <g>.
Here's a newly reprocessed ngc6543 Cat's Eye Nebula based on some Fuji 100F
film images I took over a year ago. It's a RRGB result from rescans with my
Polaroid SS35+, with levels and curves done in PS and deconvolution and
unsharp masking in MaxIm DL. The old web film shot was based on a scan from
my old HP PhotoSmart of a 10 minute exposure. This new one is the result of
SS35+ scans of two exposures; the R and G channels were taken from the 10
minute shot and the blue from a 15 minute one, as the 10 minute exposure's
blue channel was a bit weak on this object.

For comparison, for only a couple of more weeks, the old image still resides
at my old website address: http://people.ne.mediaone.net/jeboud/ngc6543.htm
Also, recently I "cleaned up" my ngc2392 shot just a bit with the Neat Image
demo:

I'll be trying out SGBNR on some other images soon based on the positive
comments made about it here on APML recently.
In these "new" images the ngc6543 doesn't look as sharp as ngc2392, but
remember that 6543 is less than half the size of 2392.
