are you guys talking about true TDE (visible thru a star test) or just the
aluminized bevel at the edge of the mirror?.. my R200SS does not seem to suffer
from TDE but the bevel does affect images with bright stars..regardless its a
very good idea to mask out the mirror clips and the bevel.
For all you astrophoto ATMs, the Vixen coma corrector and focuser are available
for your own scope, and quite cheap too.
BTW, the minor coma in the IC2948 image may be due to slight miss-collimation..
still a very good picture.
