Wonderful? I don't know. This is Canon's own
advertising, on their home website, trying to tempt us to buy a 20Da, right?
So with a marketing budget that big, surely they're going to pull out the
stops, get the absolute best results out there, to tempt us to splash out our
cash on their 20Da and EF-L USM lenses?
Here's what I see in that
image...
- screaming lateral colour around the stars...so much for the EF-L
lens!
- double stars in the corners from a tracking jump, & field
rotation pretty much everywhere...so much for showing us their best shot!
-
where's the rich crimson nebulosity?... so much for the "enhanced" deep red
throughput for astrophotography!

[APML] Canon D20a pictures
Hi all,
on Canon site have been uploaded some
pictures made with the new Canon D20a digital "astrocamera". They seem to
be little noisy, but it could be a little challenge trying to process
them. Anybody is interested in? I'll try...
Massimo
