This site is around mag 7.3 and according to the LP map sits right on the
border between a Bortle Class 1 and Class 2. So it's fricking dark! The
CSC link to your site shows your's as dark or maybe even darker? Either
way, you could still probably go 40 minutes @ f/2.8.
The pushing was a last minute decision. It probably wasn't necessary since
+1/2 is not much of a push. Jim still has the original trans since he
scanned it on his PL3000. Maybe he'll chime in on the density.
