RE: [APML] OT: ccd widefield: Antares/Rho Ophiuchus in HaGB using200mmf/4 Pentax 6x7 lens and IMG6303

Very interesting result Richard. The colors are a bit different than I'm used to seeing for that region, but it is still a pleasing image. Do you still plan on taking the R channel when time and weather permits?

Subject: [APML] OT: ccd widefield: Antares/Rho Ophiuchus in HaGB using 200mmf/4 Pentax 6x7 lens and IMG6303

this is first light of the IMG6303 used with a new Pentax 200mm f/4 Medium Format Lens. I have recently made a new adaptor for attaching the lens to the combination of the filter wheel and focuser (DF2).

I have a couple of alignment issues I want to check out before next session but I am pretty happy with this initial result.

I used 15 minute sub exposures for the Halpha ( 4 total) and 3 minute subs for Green (10 total) and 5 minute subs for Blue (6 total). Total time was 2 hours.

Originally I planned to take RGB plus Ha but I ran out of time before I could get the Red data shot. So I just used Ha for the Red.
