Re: [APML] Importance of Elevation?



After numerous clicks on the link Jerry sent which by the way is one of my favorite sites, I found it 
to be in the light gray which is not quite as dark as the Ritter Butte site; however, the page states 
the following:

"This does not model the sky darkening that high altitude gives."

It appears I'm still where I left off.  Could the extra 2600 feet of Tower Mountain compensate enough 
to reach the dark sky of Ritter Butte?  Does anyone know an accurate procedure to test which site is 
darkest?  I'm sure it would have to involve two people: one person at each site taking identical 
photos.  Anyway, I'll try it a few times under better conditions to see which visually looks better.
