Re: [APML] (OT) String theory?
there is one other book worth reading but it is a lot more challenging:
"The Big Bang" by Joseph Silk.
Silk packs more into one page than most authors do in 10. It is a very
readable book, but it is very concentrated.
One unexpected side benefit: he explains what the blue stars are in
Globs.... (no they aren't the so called blue stragglers; they are old main
sequence stars that have exhausted their hydrogen fuel and have resorted to
fusing helium)
