Re: [APML] (OT) String theory?



Thanks to all who responded. You have given me some great reading
and/or research suggestions, starting with "the Elegant Universe'. That
was mentioned more than any other.

I also plan to follow up on suggestions by Stuart, Greg, and Richard
for reading down the road.

I find it facscinating that the largest structures in the universe are
so dependant on the smallest of particles, and how they interact with
other particles.

Anyone ever read "The First 3 Minutes" by John Gribbon? I think that
title and author are right. He actually tries to explain what might
have happened, and what was there, before the big bang. Most folks
won't go there, probably because they can't (mathematically) get past
the singularity.

Anyway, I haven't pondered these questions for quite awhile, and I
think it may be time for another look.
