[APML] Posting images to web

I work on my images in Photoshop. After I adjust everything and the image
looks like I want it to in Photoshop, I save it and then post it on a site
like Yahoo groups and the image does not look like it did when I had it open
in Photoshop. The contrast of the photo is different. This also happens if I
open the photo in Microsoft photo editor or Nikon view. The image contrast
is not the same as it appeared in Photoshop. I am making the comparison on
the same monitor. Is this a problem others have had and what is the
solution?
