I use this scope with the reducer/corrector.  Right off the bat the Pleides
come to mind, but you can see some of the shots I have taken with the FS102

Hey all,

My first roll of serious shots with the 102 and G-11/Gemini was a
resounding success. Despite the headlights, bonfires, camera flashes,
green lasers, and the damn gopher that ate through the ST-4 wire. Only
one shot showed noticeable trailing.

The Gemini's Polar axis correction routine, after a quick one star
alignment (Polaris) through the PAS, yielded perfect stars and allows
me to bypass drift alignment. I shot up to 135 minutes and not a
problem to be found. AND, it only takes a minute, literally. Yay! Setup
was completed and the above mentioned steps done in time to allow
public campers time to look through the scope, and still allow me to
locate a guidestar, frame the object, and start an exposure when it was
dark enough to do so. 

What I want here though is some target suggestions from those of you
who have worked with this focal length for awhile. Seems like M31, and
the NA Nebula are a bit big, but I will try the reducer. Most other
galaxies are too small, though M33 should be a good fit. M57 was just a
bloated star. M8 and M20 fit nicely, so I suspect a deep exposure of M8
would be a nice subject. OK, you guys , any ideas?
