RE: [APML] Konica 400 - final film tests III

John,

two of the 6 rolls so far are light intruded. Why I have a dozen more rolls
in the fridge - at $1.38 per roll from Adorama, how could I go wrong? :)

Last night I did extensive phase I testing (tripod - all nighter 24
exposusres on robotic cam)of the new polaroid hi def 400. The spectral
response of this film is sketchy, a canadian web site shows it surpisingly
high in reds at 630nm, but the USA site shows the film doesnt even exist.
Ill get the film processed today professionally and well all see...

Chris,
Thanks for going to all the trouble and effort of testing Konica in
so many ways! The effort is truly appreciated and in this case it is
refreshing to know that there is print film worth using. Very surprising to
see how well it works at f5! The quality control issues you found are
surprising though, they introduce an unfortunate level of risk to an already
challenging pastime. Konica aren't exactly new to the field of manufacturing
film, a surprising discovery to say the least. How many rolls in total would
you say were ruined by light fogging or leaks? Would it be possible that you
got a bad batch? Hopefully what you got was the exception and not the rule.
