Re: [APML] c2001 q4 NEAT and M44

Hi Rodney and all
Nice image of NEAT/M44 - I am a little jealous of all these beehive/NEAT
pics :) , we were unable , for various reasons, to have a crack at this
scene ourselves (although did get to see the scene on the 20th from a dark
site through binos - very nice indeed!) . One of the best comet/object
juxtapositions in years it would seem!
As far as i am aware, this is the only such picture taken of this scene
from Oz - congrats.
Personally we have never used slide film ourselves yet.
Can i ask your camera/lens/scanning details?
I dont have a scanner capable of scanning slides (i use a 5 year old Epson
GT-7000 scanner still, with my 5 year old powermac G3 B&W 350mhz - will
upgrade soon hopefully though) Has anyone on APML used the point and squirt
cameras with slide attachment for scanning slides - i am thinking mainly
about the Nikon CP5400 with attachment 'slide copy adapter ES-E28' are they
worth trying? Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers
Kearn
