[APML] Summer Milky Way from the Catskills (medium format)

Fellow APMLers,

Here is a two hour exposure of the summer Milky Way taken from
Ellenville,
NY on the morning of June 20, 2004. Taken with a Hasselblad 503CW and
a Carl Zeiss F-Distagon 30mm f/3.5 C T* lens at f/4. There is still some
coma in the corners at this aperture. It gets better down at f/5.6. This
photo was taken using Fuji Provia 400F (RHPIII). Levels, curves, and
some
dust removal were the only processing done in Photoshop except for a
pass
of the sharpen filter after downsampling. Scan was done on a Minolta
Scan Multi Pro and a Macintosh G4. The camera rode piggyback on a Meade
LX200 (classic) 8" f/6.3 SCT.

This is a 640x640 version of the original 6951x6951 cropped scan. When I
get to updating my website, I'll post a larger version as well.

Any comments welcome.

Thanks and clear skies,

Taras
