Re: [APML] Konica 400 - First phase photographic tests

Hi Chris !

I dont have the impression that the 400 that I used is grainy like your shot ?!? but I'll have to shoot the MWay and see.

What's telling you that is not sensitive in blue ? the stars or the nebula ? on your picture , we can see the blue on M20 ;)

at least , the nebula are red ;)

I'll look forward to your next phases.

Thanks to going trough these test !

Dom :)

Hi all,

Ive completed the first of three phases on thoroughly testing Konica
Centuria 400 from dark sky sites. The tests consist of three phases:

1 - Star trails and night shots of Milkyway and the sky

2 - Tracked telephoto and wide angle images of the Milkyway

3 - Prime focus through the telescope shots.

Each phase must be impressive enough to go to the next. At this time, Ive
completed phase 1, and am halfway through phase 2. In phase 1, I saw enough
promise to get to the next step. The film is good and red sensitive as the
spectral response indicates, however not so good in the blues, and is quite
grainy. The full results can be seen here:
