Hi all, I've seen recently the discussion about the Konica Centuria 400 & 800 speed colour print films and their potential use as good films
for astrophotography since the good 'ol days of supra. Well today, I came across quite by accident some Centuria 200 film, I could not see any 400 or 800 speed for sale in a department store of all places!! Now this film does not state that it's a 'pro' film in any way, just 200 for colour prints, probably the 'european' version. I have'nt seen it for sale in any camera store. The packaging is more or less the same as the pictures of the 400/800 film posted last week - Dominic - i think you posted them?
I got 3 rolls of this for only 10 Euro (about 6 US Dollars!) expiration date 01/2006. Now that new moon is nearly here, I definitely want to try this one soon, but the weather is not great for here in Ireland. Anybody got opinions about this one? Did any of you see this before, is it any good for our hobby? I assume that a 200 speed will give finer grain and an overall sharper shot? I'll try it on the likes of M16-M17-M8, also wide field shots and see what comes up.
Any other suggestions? I've enclosed a shot to show you the packaging.
