[APML] Venus Transit

Hope everyone got what they were after during the Venus Transit.
I'm catching up afterwards on sleep, email, etc.

I ran across this interesteing historical discussion on Venus Transits.
If anyone thinks they have ever had a bad experience observing (or not
observing) anything, take a look at what poor Guillaume Le Gentil
endured for the Venus Transit of 1769.  It will put it all in
perspective!  (He's about 2/3 of the way down the page.)
