Re: [APML] Venus transit from Montreal
Merci et salut Philippe
I haven't made it up to LaVerendry this year, and not sure if I will be
able to becuase of landscaping around the house and we are expecting
another boy in early october.
For the next month or two I suspect the parc won't have enough dark time
to justify the drive up there, twilight will probably end around 11:00
and sunrise will probably sart messing things up around 3:30 so with
only four or five hours of shooting time it would be a tough call.
The Ottawa Area Observers Group may have something going on during the
summer months, I'll have a look a the website and see what they have
posted.
September is usually the best as it gets dark around 9:00 and the temps
are still above zero (usually). But if the Ottawa group is headed up it
might be a good time to vist your parents for a long weekend and spend a
night up there doing some photography.
On a side note, I have 60% of my hypering setup, just need the regulator
and gas tank before I start my plumbing. Tech pan seems to go for about
$10.30 a roll around here, I still have to check Lozeau for a price.
How is the Vixen working out?
George
Clear skies and good health
