[APML] Transit pics from Cape Cod, Mass

Hi all -

I had clear weather this morning here on the Cape for the transit. I did
lose about 15 minutes just after sunrise because of a distant cloud layer
out over the Atlantic. But once the Sun peaked through, it was clear
throughout the event. I did mange to capture an un-filtered pic with the
Sun close to the horizon. One of the shots I wanted to get.

The most memorable view was when the Sun was still low enough in the haze
that it appeared as a large reddish/orange ball. Nothing beats mother
nature's solar filter. :-) Venus was easily picked out naked eye and the
sun was glinting off the ocean waves. Very cool sight!
I used my FS102 at f/8 with Fujicolor Superia 200 and a Baader filter.

When it was all over, for some reason I was signing The Police's "King of
Pain"....... "There's a little black spot on the Sun today............."
<g>

Hope everyone had a clear view.

Chris
