RE: [APML] [OT] full frame DSLR

Hi,

Thanks to everyone. I had suggested the professor D70 and 1Ds
based on what I learned these days. Of course, any more
information is welcome. He won't make a decision too soon.

I heard that some Japanese astronomical magazines had made some
test on EOS 1D Mark II and the results seem fine. Probably this
is another option.

The IR blocking filter of D70 can be removed as well. A Japanese
company (the one that is closely associated with Hutech) is now
providing this service. I believe Hutech will do so soon.
I saw a picture taken by D70 without IR blocking filter. It's
beautiful. Nevertheless, H-alpha sensitivity is not an issue this
time. The light pollution emission lines all sit at the middle
of R/G/B passbands (unlike H-beta and [OIII], who are right between
G and B filter bands). So I won't worry too much about this.
Thank you any way, Jeff.

Cheers,

Wei-Hao
