highlght/shadow was RE: [APML] Astrophotography 2004 - Price ShockHorror

Hello Bobby,
I believe it first appeared in CS version 8. The function allows you to
bring out detail in shadow areas and/or to cool down hot spots in the
highlights with a mix of radius, amount, and tonal range sliders. I
find that it is sometimes better to do a specific mask for the
shadow/highlight adjustments, but other times, this simple function
under the "adjustments" menu seems to do just the trick. It is another
function that can really turn an image into a very flat or processed
look, but it can also rescue an image at other times to make it special.
My experience has been with astro and landscape. I have found it to be
a very handy adjustment to have on hand.

Best regards,
Jeff Ball

Jeff I haven't been observing too close lately. What are the PS

What version of PS?
