Re: [APML] The Summer Milky Way - 16mm

Hi Dom -

Thanks.
Your pic with the 16mm is what inspired me to capture the same type of shot myself.

Stunning image Chris !!!

I should add more time exposure ( like you done ) next time to my milkyway shot , you can see how a 15 minutes @ f 4 can come out here

If you knew how many times that I asked to my friends to close their lights when I photograph the sky... I believe that I am going to let them do what they want after having seen your picture ;)

Thanks for sharing !

Dom :)

Hi all -

Here's another shot done from CA during my last night of imaging. Taken
after 3am just before the thin crescent Moon rose and after some pesky
cirrus clouds moved off to the south.

I used the Zenitar 16mm f/2.8 fisheye stopped down 1/2 stop to improve the
corner star images. I let the GM-8 track on its own.

Visually, I could trace the Milky Way out as far as you see in the
photo.....minus the color of course..... The Prancing Horse Dark Nebula
was easily visible.

Comments welcome.
Enjoy.
