Re: [APML] Lattitude
Hi again Chris :)
Interesting to see how the lattitudes can play on aurora ! I find his picture beautiful but I think he pushed a litle bit too much on saturation IMHO.
I took some pictures of aurora in the night of 16 to 17 june but I see it was later than you if I look to the position of Cassiopea. you can see my pics here ( fuji superia 800 , 16mm @ f 2.8 , 20 sec )
That can be interesting to compare your aurora pictures and mines because we're on the same longitude with ~ degrees in latitude in difference :)
Tonight can be a good night for aurora , the solar winds @ ~750km/sec + the magnetosphere is going south frequently = the chances are good ! An excellent site to know if aurora are actives is

Good luck !

Hi all -
I received an email from a guy in Canada who took a shot of the aurora on
June 16th, the same one I shot and posted here a few days ago.
Here's his shot: http://www.skynewsmagazine.com/pages/pow.html
Here's mine: http://www.abmedia.com/astro/current/aurora-061603.html
What I find to be quite interesting is that being farther north, he captured
the yellow/green part of the display near the horizon while I only captured
the upper reddish/pink part since I was farther south. Cassiopeia is in
both shots too.
