[APML] Lumicon DeepSky Filter

Hi all,
I'm thinking about getting a Lumicon DeepSky filter and I have a couple 
questions:

1. I've heard good things about the light pollution reduction, what effect 
(if any) does this have on exposure times? focus?
2. On Lumicon's site they have two versions listed, 1.25" and a 1.25" 
Brandon. What's the difference? I have a Meade 8" SCT, which one do I need?
3. Is there a review out there, or before and after on these things?
