Do you cropped your picture ? Seem to me that the 24mm have a larger FOV. Anyway that remove nothing to your nice photo !!! it's a pity that you didn't have the couple in silhouette in first plan ;)

impressive display I've seen but it was cool to watch the pillars grow and
shrink as they jutted up from the horizon. While I was taking the shots a
couple came down to the beach, I think they saw me since they decided to
leave about 30 sec after they got there. Why do I think they were not there
to watch the aurora......
