Keeping the film in the camera for a week or so is not too bad,
provided the camera is well treated---try to keep it away from
excessive heat, especially.

Twice a year, our family goes on one-week outings where there is no
access to local E-6 processing. During those time, I just shot as
much as possible and take the rolls back home for developing.

Most of the time, I get a single weekend to shoot with no more
opportunities for a month. During those occasions, I shoot a few
shots (as few as 1!) and still have it developed. I basically
develop my shots as soon as possible simply because I can hopefully
learn something quicker.

And, of course, keep copious notes about what you did and what the
skies were like. If you delay your developing, this is even more
important since you will easily forget what you did to get that one
great shot....

regards,

roland
