Re: [APML] Printer Horror Story

Hi Chris

I went the "cheap" route and bought the Epson Photo Stylus Photo 820
($150 canadian pesos) about six months ago.
I have had no problem with prints fading or changing colour. About the
only bugaboo that I have found (other than speed) is that you need to do
at least one print every week or two to keep the nozzles from clogging.
I did find that if the background is set to absolute black (use black
ink) there is some slight banding, but with the background bumped up to
just above black there is no problem, other than the amount of colour
ink used.
But in all honesty I may be the lucky one. I have heard a large number
of horror stories from many people who swear they will never buy another
Epson printer again.
