Re: [APML] Aurora this evening



Ray, your web ref is very interesting and technical, here is the one I 
use all the time - easy for simpletons like me!

Based on the above website, I was out last night - 3.5 hour star trail 
(10:30 till 2am) on Supra 400 at f8.0 through a 24mm Nikkor. Then I took 
some 60 second pics around 2am but could not see any obvious aurora. I 
just framed my favourite constellations/asterisms (Big Dipper, Summer 
Triangle, Cass...) and took some more photos in case there was something 
subtle my eye wasn't picking up.

I'll post the star trails if I got lucky!
