  I have used the side-by-side set up on my Losmandy GM-100 for years, and 
have had very good results. I use it for wide field astrophotography with a 
Pentax 6x7 on one side, and a 4" F/8 AP refractor on the other. ( ST-4 for guiding 
)

  What scope will you be using for your photography, or are you doing 
piggyback?
