You have a new setup, almost anything could be causing problems. Start
with a good polar alignment, drift align, make sure all the equipment
is properly balanced, tighten everything down to minimize flexure and
go from there. Equipment takes awhile to learn and get comfortable
with.

It may take awhile before you start seeing good quality astrophotos
consistently. It may take even longer before you get a great one. Be
patient and settle in for the long haul.
