i was under the impression that Microtek made the Polaroid Sprintscan 120 for 
Polaroid. The Artixscan 120f appears (externally) to be identical to the 
SS120.
Your question about internally and software is a good one.

There was (is?) a 120 glass carrier available for the Sprintscan 120 and it 
works extremely well........keeping the film nice and flat. If Microtek made 
the SS120 for Polaroid, it would stand to reason that they also made the 120 
glass carrier. So.....perhaps they have a glass carrier for the 120f.
