Re: [APML] copyright protection

I dont want a justification from Matt !!! It's because his astronomical pictures have more value than his humming bird pictures at my eyes , Matt's astro pictures counts among my favorite here !!!

I hope you dont point my pictures when you talk about tiny useless images ;) If it's the case , I'll explain you my point of view ; My screen have a resolution of 1024 X 728 pix. and the size I choose for the web is ~ 600 X 400 pix. because the apparent size is a litle bit higher than a 4" X 6" print ... When I send some 4" X 6" pictures to certain magazine of astronomy, that doesn't stop them from choosing my pictures for publication ;) You can adjust your screen to 640 X 480 pix if you want to see my pictures full screen ;)

without spites :)

Its Matt's choice, he does not have to justify himself. In any case,
astronomical images have little commercial value (its been discussed
before), but I think his beautiful hummingbirds shots have substantial
value.. and thus an intrusive watermark is probably a good idea.

I prefer to see the large image with a wartemark than a tiny useless image.
