Sometimes they seemed not notice. Other times they were put off slightly. Actually I think the latter was a good thing. I wanted the hummers to be less complacent, so that they would assume interesting poses. I moved the green plant close to the feeder to give them something to maneuver around. When the breeze blew, that also helped make things more interesting. I have plenty of shots with the bird calmly feeding; didn't need more of those.
