This was something that I read on the APML...
I have not had any personal experience with the scanner... if yours isn't
flaring, it's not flaring! One way to tell is take a look at your originals and
see what the stars look like through a 10X loupe... then look at the scans... if
the scans look close to the originals, you're home free.
