So your images will be not too different from say that of an AP Traveller at 600mm FL with 6x7 color film. There are many people who have done a lot of good work with APO refractors on medium format film. I am presuming you want to do better than this. So if you use color film, I say "why bother" because you're just reproducing similar images to many which have been done for the last 15 years.

Loke,

That makes sense then, we are in completely different places with
regards to Astrophotography. I am doing it for my own personal
satisfaction and to try and overcome my own shortcomings <laughs> I have
no delusions about ever producing an image that anyone here would find
interesting <g> But I will say that the Lurie product with color film
might be a bit better than the AP Traveller <g> No stupid waiting list,
no field flattener needed, no knife edge etc etc. <vbg>

Best Regards

Bill
