[APML] Re: 9" Schmidt shot of M-8 region
Richard,
Nice shot! One thing I noticed with E200 is that even in a Schmidt, it's
green response is poor. Your image seems (to me) to be weak in the green in
that the background star fields are too reddish. I tried adjusting the green
curves a bit and it seems to help a lot. The star fields became a more
"normal" brownish colour, and it is easier to distinguish star fields from
faint nebulosity. Or, maybe my monitor is out of whack. That's what I love
about tech pan, there is never any fiddling around with colour....
Looks like you have the 9" working a charm!

Here's a single exposure shot of the M-8 region I took Sunday morning near
the Colorado river in
western Arizona, the rest of the state was clouded out so I ended up in 100+
temperature,
it cooled off somewhat through the night. Comments welcome.
