[APML] Alpine Texas Astronomer's House

Hello To All:
I was searching likely dark sky locations for real estate and came across a 
very interesting house near Alpine, Texas (30 miles from Ft. Davis). This house 
is a Santa Fe style adobe house with an observatory built in, topped with 
what appears to be a 3-4 meter Observa-Dome. 

Does anyone know who might have built this or lived there?
